MFC Careers Centre - visited more than 10,000 times since opened!

Are things a little bit more mixed up this year? Yes, they are but mixed up does not mean that it is bad or good – ‘it is what it is’ and those that get the right information will see opportunities this year that have not been around in he previous years such as NO ATAR COURSES!

VU is again running the ‘Guarantee’ program with bonus cash and five ATAR points attached. Their BLOCK model which was the topic of their online presentation to both year elevens and year twelves in the closing weeks as applications are now open and in one week, our year eleven or twelve can have a ticket to University before anyone else in Vic so a lot of them have applied already.

Swinburne university is dropping the ATAR requirement for some of its courses. Other universities are falling-over one another to make early offers. For instance, students who took my advice about the ‘Victoria University Guarantee’ have already received a university offer before their exams have even started and ATAR at meadow fair is well into double digits. Furthermore, two lucky year 12s will get $2,000 each and one year 11 student will get $500 from our Meadow Fair campus.

Our Department has been busy with trying to get this information out by running online seminars for example, the first ever year 10 subject selection and careers online seminar that was run for both parents and students last night with over 100 participants. Plus, universities information sessions have been online too such as the RMIT session which launched the 1st BLOCKCHAIN COMMERCE course with 215 partnerships with other universities across the world!
